Palace Above

On the second floor, we’ve recently completed our newest and, some say, most elegant space - The Palace Above. The unique, massive brass king-size bed is absolutely dreamy; the oversized chaise lounge invites you to relax with a favorite book.

The Palace Above has a private screened patio, with lighting, carpet, and with a high peaked roof. You can sit up here protected from the elements, enjoying your breakfast, having champagne in the golden dusk of the oak forest, or simply enjoying the squirrels and birds.

This 582 sq. ft. room is all about choices, especially lighting. With curtains open you have 2 walls of glass up in the trees. You may draw the lace curtains for gentle, diffuse lighting. You may also close the new, heavy tapestries and block out everything.

An ornate Persian lamp graces this wall, and along with lovely sculpted thin glass globes, creates an exotic element. This large cushiony Oriental rug is a velvet floor. The large private bath lies behind.

This sturdy staircase was newly constructed and leads only to the Palace Above, There is no one anywhere near this private space. It brings you up to your enclosed patio.

This custom-built outstanding massage pool is available for private use by each couple. We heat it comfortably in the winter and allow it to cool in the hot weather.

It is rumored that squirrels can travel through these trees across the whole city without ever coming down.

You enter The Palace Above by your private outside staircase, ensuring your complete solitude. Whether lounging in the suite’s unique king size bed, reading or dining on your own private screened-in patio, examining the owner’s treasures collected on trips around the world, or just watching the squirrels play in the trees high above the city, as the leaves take on a golden glow at dusk and the noises of the city fade away, your spirits will lift as your cares fall away. The Palace Above has no phone or television so that you may completely escape from the stresses of the world you are leaving behind. The Palace Above is a place to disappear from the world and find peace and relaxation in a world of luxury, romance and imagination. Guests in The Palace Above have complete privacy for a few hours several times each day to enjoy the spa and hot tub. To ensure quiet for other guests, however, we ask that you not use the spa/ hot tub late in the night. We’ll work with you to schedule plenty of time to use the super powered massage jets and spa facilities and, of course, the sauna on the patio is always available. Once you’ve stayed in the Palace Above you’ll agree with many of our guests that it is not just the most fanciful space that we offer, but very likely one of the most unique and relaxing experiences you have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.

$200 single or double occupancy (plus hotel tax). Rates may vary for some holidays and special events. Confirmation agreement is necessary.
